Hi there

This may seem a really dumb question as I bet everyone knows the answer.

If I place a back bet pre race and then want to lay it off at a shorter price in running, do I ask for a number of ticks better price or a number of ticks worse price ?

Can you please post screenshot of option that you are trying to use?

You should use "After bet rules->Trade out" rule to place bet of opposite type.

You are placing bet at opposite price that is improved by 5 ticks. For Lay bets this means 5 ticks lower price and for Back bets it means 5 ticks higher price.
