Hi,

We are having some troubles with a tennis strategy

We would like to fire a BACK bet in the range of 1.6 - 1.9 and then hedge. For some reason, the following attached strategy does not fire in this range. When in simulation mode it seems to. We would like to hedge later based on volatility of price movement.

Any ideas on why this might not be working as expected?

Hi
I think if you ticked the start betting box 1 sec after going in play this would help. Maybe check when you want the bot to hedge too.

Hi NoSoupForYou,

You are checking price of first favorite but you are setting bet type on all selections, so strategy is betting on second favorite too.

Remove "Default bet type" and instead add "Bet type by favorite position" and set it to Back first favorite. For more details on how bet type should be set you should read following article:

"Hedge All" will execute only during in play, so make sure your matches are available for betting during in play.

At "Hedge All" form there is also min/max price range of 1.5 - 20.0, change it to 1.05 - 20.0.

Check your Tools&Settings->Monitoring settings, markets need to be monitored until Closed as hedge will execute during in play.

Instead of "Hedge All" you can try using "After bet rules->Hedge" rule.

Also you can change hedge to execute before in play few seconds e.g. in case markets have bad offer or are not available during in play.

You should also post screenshots of loaded markets and of your Tools&settings->Monitoring settings (both tabs) to check them. Markets must be monitored during in play for this to work.

Thanks Rade,

I seemed to get hedging working by placing a lay bet and then getting a trade out second bet going.

The problem I am having now is based on the following. I am setting the bet range to be 1.4 to 1.99 but unfortunately, the bot is firing for all ranges. I have a default lay bet setting but why is it firing for all price ranges?

Default bet type sets bet type on all runners, so you are allowing strategy to bet on all runners.

But you are checking price range only of 1st favorite.

So that is wrong.

If you want to bet only on first favorite then remove default bet type and use "Bet type by favorite position" and set bet type only for first favorite.

You should never remove Back/Lay Ratio rule, it is safety rule, it ensures bets get placed only when prices are valid.
