General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges

Hi Rade,

In v3 is there a way to exclude certain favorites when laying the field.
E.g. exclude Fav’s 1 & 2

To explain, I want to trigger a bet on the first horse that the price drops below a particular price level and then instigate a lay bet on that horse only at a lower price (there is method in my madness).
However I need to exclude either or both of the first two favorites if their SP is below $7.00 (or if that’s not possible, then simply exclude the first two favorites altogether).

The only way I can see currently is to create something like 40 (to cover a max field size) ‘Bet type by favorite position’ settings and price the first two favorites out of it.

Maybe it would be possible to add an ‘Exclude’ option in the ‘Bet type by favorite position’?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi teak99,

You can use "Selections filter" condition and set it to allow betting on favorites by position that you specify in CSV list e.g. "3,4,5,6,7,8,9....". With this use "Default bet type" condition to set bet type.

Use Min/max price range at "Selection conditions" tab and set price range of 7.0 - 1000 for "Any runner", so that bets are only placed on runners with price higher than 7.0.

To bet on runners whose price changes by X% you should use "Price change - steamer/drifter" condition.

At strategy "Edit" form you can set max number of bets per runner and market e.g. per runner to 1 and per market to higher value.

Please try it out in simulation mode and see manual for details on all those conditions before you decide to use them.

Rade

Hi Rade,

Thanks for the feedback... Yes, it the CSV list that will be the one that I'll need to use.
It doesn't give me the option to still bet on Fav 1 &/ or 2 if their SP is over $7, but still gives me protection against the first two favorites.

I cannot use Min/max price range for this purpose, as I'm using this as a trigger to set a lay bet on the first horse to reach a certain price point and then place a lay bet at an even lower price (e.g. Trigger horse who hits $2.30 and automatically place a lay bet at $1.70).

Really it's the same as placing a 'Trade-out' bet, without having placed the first bet.

Anyway, thanks again for you help.

Chris
