Hey everyone, first off, I want to say that the potential for this software is incredible :D I am really quite excited about it. :D But I could really use some help setting up some strategies and getting into the finer details.

I initially want to be able to get the BFBOT to back\lay each runner in a race at various odds. For example, this would look something like backing every runner in the race at 2 and then 3 and then 4 or laying each runner in the race at 2 and 1.8 and 1.5 and so forth.

I have set up a new strategy but am kind of stuck with all the options, which ones to set up, and which would best suit my purpose, there are so many options to look through, it is dazzling me :D

I figure I may need multiple ones, such as one set for laying and one set for backing; this is fine, but I figure it would be prudent to keep them separate anyway.

My first issue is getting the bot to place a bet at a specific price point and amount and then do it again on the same selection for another price point and amount, I do not need to make any other adjustments to the strategy, I want to place a series of bets on each runner and then move on to the next race.

Can I get the bot to add my multiple bets at once? For example, can I use the same strategy to place all my back or lay bets for each runner in the race?

Could someone give me a pointer to get me started ??? Any insight would be most appreciated...

Kindest regards

Hi MrBee,

You will need to create separate strategy for each price. For example, one strategy to place Back bet at price 1.8, second strategy to place bet at 2.0 etc.

If you wisht to place Lay bet at lower odds than Back bet then you can use "After bet rules->Trade out" rule.

Use "Market conditions->Min/max required price for selection" to check available price at the time of bet.

Price at which bet will be placed is set by rules at "Price settings" tab. If you wish to use fixed price then you will need to remove "Price rules" rule and instead use "Default price" rule.

This is all explained in the manual, there are also step by step instructions on how to create your own strategies. Please take time to read it and make sure that you use simulation mode to test it all without risking any real money.

Thanks for the info, just going through the manuals now :) I am not worried about placing any other bets for trade-out; I only want to place the ones at the fixed prices; I will let you know how it goes...thanks again...

Hey Team, it is not working :? I just want to lay (for example) every runner at 1.1 (for example) irrelevant of their current prices etc...I am not sure what to turn on and off to make this happen...can you advise?

I have no selection conditions so figure this may the issue, see images for what I have set in other conditions...

Cool, so that works, kind of, except it places lots of bets at the same price on the runners and just keeps going around and putting another set of bets on. :D So now I need to make sure it only places one bet and then moves on . The runners in the picture have about 5 bets on each for the same price/odds.

Found it :D I had mistakenly selected Max Number Of Bets Per Runner to a higher number thinking as I needed to place more than one bet per runner, this would be required, but of course that was before I realised I needed to create a strategy for each pricing level...

I will crack on and will be back here if I get stuck with creating the other parts of the overall strategy...

Thank you for this so far it is a good start 8-)

If you want to bet only on single selection then you should remove "Default bet type" rule. Instead use "Bet type by favorite position" rule or pick your own selections by using "My S." checkbox column in which case you should use "Bet on my selections" rule. Please take time to read the manual, it is all explained there.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Everything looks to be working as I wanted; I need to 'tweak' it a bit now. I basically wanted (as part of a broader strategy) to lay or back the whole lot of runners, which it seems to be doing now. Thank you again. I will let you know if I need more advice.
