Hi Rade,
Im puzzled by the meaning of ''Strategy Edit Form'' in the price movement settings.

I'm wanting to monitor for steamers between 4 hours and half hour before the off, which Ive set in ''time of bet''. I've also selected 4 hours in 'Market Monitor settings' in 'Tools and settings'

Although it does pick up some steamers, it seems to miss plenty - I don't think i have it set correctly, and I'm wondering if its to do with the Edit form I mentioned above.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

Hi Robbo,

At your "Recording of data" set to record min/max prices 4 hours before start time, like this:
https://www.screencast.com/t/QESxudR3hUB

Then those recorded prices will be compared with currently available prices during next 4 hours until race starts and if price change is satisfied by your Price change - steamers/drifter condition the bets will be placed.

Make sure you try it out in simulation mode.

Hi Rade,
I'm still trying to automate backing a horse when it steams by a certain %

Now that i have set the times for recorded price as you showed me, and set my steamer condition % value, I'm puzzled with reference to the min and max recorded prices that I have set in 'min/max selection price'. I have set up 9 similar strategies, each having a different % for various bands of odds values. eg 3.0 >5.0 25% steam, 5.1 > 7.0, 22% steam. Will these narrow bands allow still work ok, and the horse be bet on by BF bot. I'm worried that I'm misusing the Min/max selection price settings?

Also, does it matter whether i select to monitor Lay price, last traded price etc
Thanks for your continued back-up

best

Hi Robbo,

Bot records prices during your set interval e.g. for period of 10 minutes. During this period Back price can go up and done, so min and max is recorded. Same is for Lay price and last traded price.

Then those recorded prices are compared with currently available Back/Lay price at time of bet to determine price change and check if price change criteria that you set is satisfied.

25% steam might be too much. Try testing this with 5% in simulation mode to make sure it works like you want it to. Then increase % to the value you want.

Price that you will check for price change is your decision and depends on your strategy and how you want it to work. If you select Back price then recorded Back price will be compared with currently available Back price at time of bet to determine price change %.

Rade

Just click on "Edit" strategy button at STRATEGIES tab, then new form will open where you can change strategy name and at second tab you will find those options.
