General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges

Hi,

I am currently trialing a strategy which works great in simulation mode, but not in real mode. :(
I bet on any football match odds that drift out a certain percentage then back at a higher price using AFTER BET, TRADE OUT.

In real mode the initial lay bet is placed but the back bet is not matched and the odds rise up above the back bet set odds without a matched bet. I manually trade the bet on Betfair.

Is there a way to cancel the initial back bet bet and keep trying for a TRADE OUT bet at the current odds?

Hi polarisham,

Simulation mode is not realistic for trading strategies. This is explained in following help article:
https://help.bfbotmanager.com/article/4 ... ation-mode

There is also warning about this when you turn on simulation mode.

You cannot cancel initial bet if it is matched. But you can use "After bet rules->Hedge" to hedge your position after X seconds or when price changes.

Hi Rade,
I understand that once a bet is matched it is final and also simulation mode is not going to produce the same results as real mode. Real mode is reliant on many things correct odds and money to be matched amongst many other variables.

But what I am after is if the second bet bet ( not initial as I mentioned incorrectly earlier)which is a back bet is not matched using trade out within a certain period of time and the back odds have increased then something along the lines of fill or kill is implemented to try and take advantage of the new higher odds.

Hi polarisham,

You can use "After bet rules->Hedge" or "Safety rules->Hedge All" and set it to execute when price changes by X%. This will also cancel your trade out bet and hedge your position by placing new bet that should be matched immediately at currently available price.
