General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges

Hi Rade
I am trying to make a strategy that lays a selection in this case greyhounds but only if it is not the favourite. I have seen this on a strategy previously using V3 but can't seem to find it in the settings or work it out. I have tried several settings but they do not work. If I remember it selected by chance? Its driving me potty as I know I've seen it!
Cheers

Hi John,

To prevent betting on first favorite use "Selections filter" and set following options:
1. tick option "Use reversed logic and do NOT allow betting on selections that satisfy above criteria:
2. tick option "Allow betting on favorites by position" and set value "1" in textbox

That will prevent strategy from placing bets on first favorite.

Rade

Hi John,

You have set not to allow betting on favorite by position 3. Take a look:
http://screencast.com/t/f1758A4G8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You also set to check price range of FAVORITE by position 3, but you set bet type on RUNNER by position (trap 3).
http://screencast.com/t/k7vYA5NI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you wish to bet on selection only if it is NOT first favorite then use following setting:

Thanks Rade, I had misunderstood the setting. The other one I had accidentally left over as I'm trying 2 different strats, one with fave and one by trap. I've made adjustments and have just been saved by a 3 trap fave winner! I have also now changed the selections to 1,2 reverse so lets see how that goes
Thanks again
John
