looks like BF is the problem...cant log in to main site...not for the first time...

Hi Dodgydog,

You can check Betfair service status at following web site:
http://service.betfair.info/

I am not sure how often they update it but if there is some big problem or maintenance then they publish message about it.

If so, it is perhaps best to check with http://service.betfair.info/ next time it happen as Rade suggested.
Perhaps Guru12 can tell what to do if he have been in the network business?
Would a VPS server fix the problem?

haha! I just checked the link and ... The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

With windows there is a few things you can do.

if you run from a command line

ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -RR
nbtstat -R
arp -d

This would flush your network caches. Betfair run hundreds possibly thousands

or servers. The above would help if one or two were having service outages and you happened to be connected to that one and they have moved over. It would force your network to rediscover the server. In reality this should happen automatically but not always. Depends if your ISP is quick to rediscover the DNS or route changes to Betfairs servers.
