Hi Rade,
As attached, i have noticed high failures in Get market Prices compressed requests ?
Is this normal?
or
Is there any possible setting problems?
or
VPS problems?

Hope to hear from you soon.
thanks.

Hi Spar,

14 failed requests out of total 155,146 requests is not a lot. That is 0.009% of total requests failed.

Few requests can fail because of network failure, server issues etc. But this is all OK :-)

When one request to get market prices fails then bot makes another one few seconds later, depending on your refresh rate. There is no need to worry about this.

Hi Rade,
10 out of 11 request name = "zero failure"
only "GetmarketPrice compressed request" shown 14 failures,
that's why it look as if high !!>:
But, in percentage term, it is extremely LOW !!

Please advise if you see any problem in refresh rate with the following setting with 10 simultaneous monitor ?
or any other possible problem, such as bet might be placed after start time?..
I still see many bets placed OVER my fav setting max price range?

my setting
Get matched/unmatched bet interval = 1s
Get settled bet interval = 60s
Market refresh rate = 1000ms
time to place bet before start = 3s
start monitor markets 3min before start time
monitor multiple markets at the same time = 10

Get market info at start interval = 12500ms
Get passed market info interval = 60000ms
Time out for market to go in running = 45s
Time out for getting passed market info = 120min

Hi Spar,

Your settings are ok.

If you want you can post screenshots of those bets that are above your max price and also post screenshots of your settings. I will check them.

If you are betting during in play then you should know that prices change very fast and often you get matched at better/higher price.

Rade

Hi Rade,
My Bets placed above the max price limit, maybe is because I have set
Bets persistence = keep
Is this explanation, right?
" if my bet placed before start is not matched, the bot will try to get it match during in play". is this right?

hi Spartacus
there is no perfect internet connection.
there will be times when we have failed requests, due to internet been a bit slower than normal, betfair api been very busy etc and if every bot sends out a request for the same selection and market, you have to wait your turn, this means failed requests, betfair api can only work to a certain amount of request per min, if it gets close to this then it will refuse requests until it is back in line with the limit, in the past the api has been allowed to get close to the limit and it has crashed.
what you see is normal.
if you see to many failed requests, then it is usualy your internet connection that has slowed down for some reason.

Hi Rade/Mcbee,
Your explanation couldn't be more clearer... Thanks

My VPS is in England, so far it is pretty stable.
Should i start to play "In-Play" or see more connections failures,
I might have to look for alternative service providers.

Do you have any recommendation on "VPS direct link to Betfair server" service provider ? :geek:
thanks.

hi
i have lived in bulgaria since 2006, so i cannot help.
but what i can say is my internet is slow because of the country and have no problems betting inplay.
it is best just to randomly check the requests.

Hi Spar,

There is absolutely no worry about those few failed requests. It is normal that few requests fail when such high number of them is executed for period of two days. If you ever get more failed requests e.g. 1% then you can email me log file (Tools->Log) and I will check it out and see why those failed requests happened.

VPS server that I recommend and that is cheap with good hardware is Tagadab http://tagadab.com/
From them you can get VPS server up and running within 30 minutes.

Kind regards,
Rade

Hi Rade/McBee,
Thanks for the advice.

Rade,
I am running both horses and dogs in all regions for 24hrs x 7days.
1.What spec for VPS do you recommend? Duo processors ? Ram ? HDD?
2. What data transfer pm is enough for BF bot working 24 x 7 ? look like Tagadab only offer limited data transfer ?

Is this over spec ?
VS2000 Specification
Cost From £74.99 a month
Spec 2048RAM, 70GB Storage
Connectivity Up to 100Mbps contended
Transfer 2000GB data transfer pm
IPs 5 dedicated IPs from the start
