Is there a way to bet on the AvB markets from BFBM?

Yes, that should be MATCH_BRT market type. Please use Auto load functionality to load those markets and then set your strategy to bet on them. Make sure you test it in simulation mode.

I couldn't find the MATCH_BET option in my existing Auto Load list, but I created a new list which did have the option.

The MATCH_BET option doesn't appear in the Markets Filter list, I've input it manually. Is this correct or do I have something set incorrectly or is it because (at the time I checked) there were no AvB markets on BF?

List is dynamically populated so you must wait for those markets to be available at Betfair.
