Is this possible? I'm looking to back horses but only if the field size is between 2-6. This obviously changes a lot during the day with NR's. Can the bot look at a field size say 1 min out from the start time and then trigger a bet if the field is a certain size?

Sure, you can use "Market conditions->Number of runners" rule to allow strategy to bet only on races when number of active runners is within min/max range.
