General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges

I've read every post on the topic and want to bring it back up to ensure I'm doing all I can to prevent lapsing.

I have a back-to-lay horse racing strategy I'm testing live that is profitable so far, as long as the lay bet doesn't lapse. Settings are:
Minimum $10,000 in the market
Start placing bets 5min before off, keep betting 1sec after off
Back stake is $1.00
Back to lay price ratio set at 10%
Price rule: 1 tick worse
Trade out for 1 tick only if the back bet is matched, persistence set at Take SP

Back bets are fine, lay bets are lapsing.

Am I missing anything? Any suggestions?

Lay bets lapse as you are asking better price than the one available on market. So price never changes in your favor for Lay bet to be matched and once market goes in play your Lay bet gets lapsed status.

Running this strategy in simulation mode is not realistic as strategy is placing unmatched bets, so you will need to test it in real mode to get reliable results.

Thanks for the quick reply Rade. I am testing this on real mode at minimum stakes. The best way to deal with it is hedge if price goes against ?

Yes, you can use hedge to get equal profit/loss regardless of the outcome.
