I have been testing a bot to lay favourite in certain races with certain odds etc.

I have just seen my bot place a lay on the fave, the fave i layed was number 5, which had SP of 4.1, i layed at 4.2.

On the results tab its shows fave winning but the fave shown is number 4 which had SP odds of 5.

Is this a hiccup with the system or is something not working correctly for me?

Your strategy is placing bets at one time before race and results tab is recording back/lay prices at another moment of time before race. So different odds and even different favorite positions can be recorded as prices change until the race starts.

Results tab is not connected with your strategy bets, as you could have several strategies runnning and placing bets at different times before start of the race.

So the results do not come from the SP of the race?

Sorry I don't mean this to sound rude, but what is the use of a results tab if it does not tie to the SP?

If the results tab is from another time, that time could be any time?

Surely the favourite is the lowest odds runner at the off?

If i wanted to use the results to check back strategies it would not work?

Results tab starts recording odds and favorite positions by time set at "Tools&settings->General settings->Results form".

BSP is only available for BSP markets, not for all markets.

It records and uses odds when overrounds are the best, which means that offer on the market within set time interval is the best.

I understand that my bet could be 1st fave but by the time the race starts it could be 2nd or 3rd etc

However looking at the attachments the screen that shows the 6 dogs shows 4 as winner and SP odds show it as 3rd Fave yet the results tab shows it 1st fave.

Thats what i cannot understand

BSP can be very different from Back and Lay price. For some reason you are using BSP to determine favorites, but Results tab is using recorded Back price when offer on market was best within set time. That is very different.

Results tab is showing recorded Back price of 4.4, other runner prices were different from BSP too, and that runner with price 4.4 was the first favorite at that time.

Sorry just going back to this.

Looking at the capture below am i right in thinking that the favourite is chosen 300s before the start of the race on the results tab?

therefore if i chose to back favourite 5s to the off i would choose the current fav based upon odds and could have therefore been 2nd fav+ at the 300s before the start?

Therefore to get a clear accurate idea of how my system would work do i need to change the 300s to 5s to tie in with when my bet would be placed?

It is time when bot will start recording prices, it is not one moment. Results tab will start favorite odds 5m before start time and until race goes in play. For results it will use prices when overrounds were best e.g. closest to 100%, as that will mean that offer on market is best.

To get prices as close to start time you should change this to 5s before start time.
