How can I force a bet at a fixed price in running? So say I wanted to back the favorite at a price lower than the SP, I want to wait until it gets to that price then back it. I've tried setting the default back price but it just takes current best price.

You should use "Selection conditions->Min/max price for selection" to check price range of any runner, so that bet is placed only when available price is in that price range.
