General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges

Whats the best way to set up a horse racing bot that:

- Lays ANY runner who has 50 ticks between the back and lay price in-play
- The back price must be below odds of 2.00
- The lay bet fires in at 1 tick higher than the current back price
- The lay bet is killed after 4 seconds if it isn't filled
- If the lay bet is filled then the second bet hedges for 25 ticks better on the same runner (where I'm currently going wrong)
- The initial lay bet is only allowed to trigger once per selection (so only 2 bets per selection)

Would greatly appreciate any help on this as currently I'm not hedging properly.

Thank in advance :)

Hi Chris,

If your first Lay bet is being placed properly then just use "After bet rules->Trade out" rule and set it to place trade out bet at better price by 25 ticks. There is no need to use Hedge rule, trade out will place bet that if it gets matched it will give you equal profit regardless if runner wins or loses.

At "Edit" strategy form set maximum number of bets per runner to 1. Then try it out with small stakes.

Thanks for your reply.

I've done the amendments. It must be my selection conditions that's wrong as I'm still laying at odds of 240

I've attached a picture which I've set to 50 ticks instead of 25.

Do I need to use the selection price range for each runner?

Thanks

Hi Chris,

At "Price settings->Price rules" you are setting at which bet price will be placed. Please see manual for details on this condition:
https://www.bfbotmanager.com/documents/ ... manual.pdf

You can use 2 conditions to check Back and Lay price. Set it to check "Any runner" instead of checking one runner/favorite at a time.

You are placing bets at high prices so make sure you use simulation mode to check your settings, otherwise you could lose a lot of money. Your settings are dangerous as you are placing bets when there is no offer on market e.g. Back price 1.5 and Lay price of 200.0.
