I'm testing a strat that should back at the current price and lay 3 ticks below as the odds come down before an event. I have the lay set as a trade out/second bet rule and new bets set at <1. However I have had to set the "bet type" as "only one per runner" and the "max number bets per runner" as one as if this is higher, and the trade out bet is missed for whatever reason, it backs the selection again. Ideally I would only want another back bet placed when the first lay / trade out / second bet is matched. Any advice?

Your "After bet rules->Trade out" rule has option to place bet only if initial bet is matched, so ticked that option.

New initial bet is only placed if all After bet rules executed and their bets are fully matched or canceled. So if your trade out bet is only placed if initial bet is matched, then new initial bet will only be placed after both bets are matched.

Please use simulation mode to try it out.
