Hi,

I have 2 instances of BFBM running on 2 different PCs, one is live and the other is simulation.

I'd like to keep them both exactly the same, global settings, autoload etc.. Can you tell me what files I should keep synchronised? Or is there a way to have the settings files kept on a shared drive that both have access to?

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,

It is not possible to use shared drive.

Following folders are used to save strategies and settings, so you can copy them from one computer to another.
C:\Users\{WINDOWS ACCOUNT USERNAME}\AppData\Local\bfbotmanager.com
C:\Users\{WINDOWS ACCOUNT USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Sodens_Limited

Please note that simulation mode is using Betfair delayed data that is not synchronized and delay can be anywhere from 1s to 180s. So you will never get identical results in real and simulation mode.

This makes simulation unrealistic for trading and similar strategies.

Simulation mode also does not check if there is enough money to fully match your bet at requested size. All bets are matched if requested price is available.

In real mode bot using real Betfair data that is not delayed.

You should read following article that explains differences between simulation and real mode:

And this article about delayed data

Excellent, thanks.

I'm OK wit the delayed data, it's mainly just to keep everything else synchronised. I have a habit of tweaking things like market loading and forgetting to tweak the other instance to suit.
