Is it possible to set the bot to back the faourite (under certain conditions) while in-play, but only if it was also the favourite before in-play ?

Yes, set your strategy to bet on first favorite and at strategy "Edit" form (the one where you set strategy name) tick option to use favorite positions from before in play.
