Is it possible to use the bot in live mode while running another in sim mode?
If so will this incur betfair fees?

Hi Charlie,

Whenever Bf Bot Manager is running it is getting market prices and other needed data from Betfair API. This means that requests to get market prices, market info, events and other data are being made to API. This happens in simulation mode and in real mode.

If you run two bots then you are exceeding number of allowed requests to get market prices (and few other requests) by Free API. If both bots are in real mode then you will also exceed number of allowed requests to get bets information's.

Only difference between simulation and real mode is that bot simulates your bets, instead of placing them at Betfair. Everything else is the same.
