General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges
By cmiddlebrook
I have a racing strategy that starts placing bets 6 hours before the off to take advantage of early prices. The problem with it is that there's not much liquidity in the markets that early. What sometimes happens is that the initial bet gets only partially matched and then the price starts to drop throughout the day so the rest of the stake remains unmatched.

What I would like to do is be able to cancel the unmatched portion of a bet after say 30 minutes, and then resubmit a new bet at the new current price for the remainder and continue doing that throughout the day until the entire stake is matched. For example:

Stake £20 requested at current price of 9.2 at 10am, after 5 minutes £4 gets matched, but £16 unmatched.
30 mins later, price has dropped to 8.6. Place a new bet for £16 at 8.6. £5 gets matched, £11 still unmatched.
30 mins later, price has dropped to 8.0. Place a new bet for £11 at 8.0 ....

and so on. Is this possible within the software? If so, how could I set that up?

There is no option to do that, sorry. You can use "Staking->Bets persistence" rule and set it to "Take SP" to match bet at BSP at in play or to "Keep" so that bet stays alive when market turs in play.
