Transaction charges

Been hit with a £19.88 transaction charge because they say I hit 5000 actions in an hour - bots placed less than 500 bets all day but do have a lot of bots running in sim mode - do the simulation bets (both matched and failed) count as a transaction on the Betfair API?
Waiting for a detailed transaction list from Betfair to try and pinpoint which hour that was supposed to be so I can maybe narrow down which bots were placing so many bets but that nay take a few days - stopped testing anything in sim mode for now

Simulated bets are NOT sent to Betfair. They only exist within bot and are settled by using market/selection winner/loser statuses.
When you are using simulation mode then bot is using Betfair Delayed data. That is a requirement by Betfair.
If you are using multiple bot instances on more than one computer or running other programs with same Betfair account then those other programs could also be making requests to Betfair API.

I was using 2 instances live and one in sim mode - total of around 1000 bets over the three for the whole day - no other software used on the Betfair account - maybe a total of 55 bots running - never had this charge before even running 100+ bots
Is there anything other than 'place orders' in the API report that count towards the charge?

All requests made to API count. You can view all made requests at "API Requests Report" form, bottom right corner of the main screen. For more details you should contact Betfair support, they will be able to give you more details on which requests you made and why you were charged that fee.
In simulation mode place bet requests are not sent to Betfair, as simulated bets only exist within bot. All other requests are made to Betfair API.
You should read article about monitoring settings, here is the link:

Just seems weird - been using this software 8 or 9 years and never been hit with a transaction charge before - even running 100+ bots in live mode - will be interesting to see the report from Betfair assuming they are not just fobbing me off and I actually get it - maybe even Betfair has change what is a valid request
Reduced bots to 33 (most are pre-off so only one bet) and monitoring time to 1000 so hopefully won't happen again

Number of strategies that you run does not make much difference, as strategies only have effect on place bet requests. Betfair likes when you place bets, as they earn money from commission.
Monitoring settings, auto load market settings are the ones that are making requests to the API regardless of the number of strategies that you run.

Will reduce autoload to 24 hours from the default 6:55 but won't make a lot of difference - 7 sports and 13 markets total - but TBH I still don't think there were 5000 requests for anything in that hour they charged me for and possible a glitch on their side - hopefully they will send me that transaction report and will have some idea what and where they charged me for

What is 'TradeOutRequest' on the API report? - it's 110,000 since Friday evening
The only bets that should be trading out are the horse B2L

It is your "After bet rules->Trade our" rule, placing trade out bet.
