After a while playing with greyhounds and horses as out and out bets I am now looking at playing with football strategies now the season is restarting.

I am looking at the over 1.5 to bet after half time if the game is 0-0, i want it to hedge after a goal, 35 seconds after the event or hedge at 77 minutes for a loss.

I have been playing and left it running this afternoon but it places a back bet but lays a few seconds later.

Can you please show me where I am going wrong

At Hedge->Market conditions, remove option to allow hedge to execute when rule "Market status change delay" is satisfied. Turn off market conditions and then try again.

Hedge is executed when one of its options is satisfied, not all of them.

Is there a way of delaying the lay so it at least lets the market settle?

You should use back/lay ratio at hedge settings form to check if offer on market is valid e.g. 15-20% back/lay ratio should work fine.

thanks I have changed the % ratio, do i need to do ticks ratio also?

It bet at 2.18 but laid at 2.32 after a goal

You can use tick ratio too, it is not wrong to use both ratio options.
