wong bet placement

Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me understand what I am doing wrong with my back/lay multi faves strategy.
I am trying to place bets using a modified Maria staking plan on the 2nd/3rd/4th faves in races where the favourite is longer than $3.
It was working ok with a couple of minor glitches when I tried it for the first time yesterday, but today it has started firing bets in-play (which I don't want) and some at increased stakes. (I was able to cancel the one at increased stakes in the screenshot attached as I had the Betfair site open at the time.) Thankfully I was only using very small stakes while I tried to get it working as desired.
If anyone can spot what I have done incorrectly here and provide some advice, that would greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi hairycanary,

That runner had higher price than 11.5 so default stake of $1 was used and probably increased to cover Betfair commission. Your Maria staking plan is not defined to adjust stake for prices higher than 11.5, but your bot is allowing betting on runners with max price up to 20.0.

At Maria staking plan change max price from 11.5 to 1,000.0, so that for all bets where runner has price below 1,000.00 stake of 0.4% is used.

Then test it in simulation mode to ensure it works like you want it to. Do not use real mode until you are sure that it works exactly like you want it to.

Ok, thanks. I'll give that a try. Is that likely to also solve the betting in-running issue?

You should use "advanced time of bet" and tick option only to start betting before in play. That will prevent it from betting during in play.

Thanks for your reply. I'll test those suggestions out and see how it goes.
