My dog bots stop firing as soon as there is a minus figure in the p/l column - started happening since the update - only T1 and 2 have fired since early yesterday - checked everything several times and can't see why they stop - there is no safety or after bet rules

Please check your strategy Reports tab to see which rule is preventing strategy from placing bets.

It's difficult to catch with 30+ bots running

I've set up a sandbox for the aussie dogs but obviously there are no races until tomorrow

Each strategy has its own Reports tab, you just need to check it when time to bet rule is satisfied.

This is what I normally see - this tennis bot checks all the markets loaded in the events tab and not just tennis matches

Report said first that the selection filter rule was wrong that lists the trap number (that always worked in the past and still works for UK dogs) - deleted that

Then the overrounds rule was wrong - always worked in the past but deleted it

Then the overall loss recovery was the problem (see screenshot) - always worked in the past

Meanwhile traps 1 and 2 fire properly even though they have the same "wrong" rules but a positive figure in p/l

The problem IS with the negative profit/loss figure - there is no other explanation

You are using Percent of betting bank and you have set it to 0.01% of betting bank that is set to 100. This means that with small loss stake is less than 0.01, which results in invalid bet size.

You will need to increase your bet size to fix this issue. Try using Level/initial stake and set it to 2 GBP for test purpose and then try it out in simulatioin mode.
