Horse Lay three ticks below my entry point

Hi, I’m backing a selection of horses around 10 minutes before the race starts. How would I set up the strategy to then lay 3 ticks below my entry point?

Thanks in advance, Tony

Hi Tony,

You should use "After bet rules->Trade out" rule and set it to trade out at better price by 3 ticks.

Please test it in simulation mode.

That’s worked a treat! Thank you. Tony

Hey, just following up on my earlier question.

The strategy is working effectively, though I now want to give consideration to those horses that odds are drifting. Would my trade out second bet, using the better price by 3 ticks get triggered if the odds drifted? I'm assuming not, therefore, is there another "After Bet Rule" that would hedge out for a small loss?

Many Thanks

Tony

Trade out rule will place bet at better price only once.

If you wish to hedge your position if odds go against you, then use Hedge rule and test it in simulation mode.

Thanks for the response. Any pointers to what condition I would need for the hedge rule? I was thinking it would be “Hedge if price goes up by %”, say I set that to 10%, what would happen if it doesn’t go above 10%, would my hedge condition not get triggered?

Thanks, tony

Please see manual for details on how Hedge rule works:
https://www.bfbotmanager.com/documents/ ... manual.pdf

Then try it out in simulation mode. Duplicate your strategy and then test different settings to see how hedge will work.

If hedge setting is not satisfied then hedge will not execute.
