Possible reason for differemces between live and simulation.

Hi Rade,
I've a couple of simple strategies running that seem quite successful when running in simulation but totally bomb when running in live mode.
They are both basic back bets on the overs markets in football. The only difference between the simulation and the live version of the strategy is the stake size.
Simulation is 10% of a starting bank of £200 while live is 10% of a starting bank of £5.00
Is there any obvious reason the live strategies fail?
I've even set up the simulation strategies with the same bank size of 10% of £5.00 and run them at the same time as running the exact same strategies live on another computer. The simulation remains profitable while the live ones fail.
