Hi Rade,

Hope you are well.

Is back-testing of trading strategies something that the Bfbotmanager development team are considering for future releases?

Betfair offer historical data for a fee.... I believe since we have Live and simulation modes currently for your software, a "back-test" mode would be of great value to users to test strategies on the historical data provided by Betfair.

Maybe other users can provide insight on how they see such a module working together.

Thank you for your suggestion.

We considered this, but we concluded that it would be best to make this as separate software/module so we left it for future development.

Or maybe a client can order for this separately as a custom bot or new software by contacting Sodens?

I too would be interested in a backtesting module.

Rade, I suggest you send an email out to all current subscribers to see if the demand is there for an additional module for backtesting and demand (I think a high percentage of people would be willing to even pay an additional sum of money PCM for a backtesting module). Depends on your workload however!

I think it would be fantastic to be able to backtest instantly with results of the previous year in a matter of seconds.

Thanks, we already reviewed this and we have some plans for future, but we do not have time estimate.

This is not a small work, because historical data is huge and is not free.
