Back and Lay Strategy - Stake is lay liability not stake

Hi Rade

I'm testing a Tipster who provides back and lay bets in an auto loaded CSV file. I have the level stake set at £6 plus commission and for the back bets it is placing fine at £6.32 (5% commission) but the lay bets are being placed with the £6.32 as the max liability. So for example, a laybet placed at 3.85 has a stake of £2.22. I would like both the back and lay bets to have the same stake, knowing that if a lay bet loses, the cost will be higher.

Could you advise how to achieve the above please. I have attached the strategy I'm using.

Hi Yorkieuk,

You are placing Betfair Start Price bets and for Lay bets your set size is always liability, not actual bet size.

BSP is unknown until event starts and because of that it is not possible to place BSP bets at fixed size, they are always placed to liability.

Rade

Thanks Rade, excellent service as always.

I've made the changes and will test tomorrow.

Hi Rade.

Is there anyway to place a laybet at BFSP with a defined stake, accepting the liability is unknown?

Sorry, that is not possible as Betfair does not support that.
