Do I need a start stake condition ie level stake £1 in addition to the Kelly condition?

No, there is no need for level stake because Kelly has its own betting bank.

If bets are not being placed then something else is preventing strategy from betting. Please export your strategy and post it here or send it by email, then I will check it and see if there is a problem.

I have done some reading up and changed some settings in the plan.

Can you confirm that the 'expected win percent' figure is the % of bets you think will win or per runner?
ie if laying and you win 80% of races then use 80% or is it if selection price 6.0 then % chance is 20% for that runner?

Yes, that should be correct, it should be % of bets you think will win.

Make sure you try it out in simulation mode!

Please see example in blue letters and Wikipedia article explaining Kelly staking plan.

Percent of betting bank just uses percentage of betting bank, Kelly has different mathematical formula.

I have several strategys running with the same plan but all with different price ranges. I cannot get a bet placed on any market at price under 2.0 even on place markets whaere selection/price is available. I have all of the strategies set the same and any over 2.0 which is about 6 strategies all work and place bets.

Is there any restriction to this plan at this price?

Hi KongUK,

There is no restriction, but if you use Kelly formula then you will get different results for different prices. Try do calculation by using different prices and your settings and see what result you get.

Thats what I am trying to do but any strategys where selction condition for price under 2.0 is not placing bets.

I will try adjusting the bank levels to seee if that makes a difference
