General discussion about Bf Bot Manager v3 software for Betfair, Betdaq and Matchbook betting exchanges
#29551
Hi there, I have noticed this phenomenon recently when trying out loss recovery strategy.

I have included screenshots to show this here. In the test, I am laying for £0.10 per bet. 100% loss recovery, recovery rate 25%. 1 loss per loss pot.
To me this should mean, each loss is recovered on its own merit split into 4 bets (25%). When this loss is recovered it should move on to the next loss in line.
As you can see here though, although there is only 1 total loss to recover, it has placed more than 4 bets as the recovery rate despite there being 4 winning bets.
I have tried multiple things to see if they were affecting it such as include commision on bet size on and off, wait for next race before placing bets both on and off, add more losses to the loss pot and it still seems to put these extra unneccessary bets in. This of course ultimately means that what I want to happen is not happening and I can't accurately work out if I can make this method profitable or not.
Would reall appreciate any insight on this, thanks!

Note: this is for the Betdaq BQbotmanager

Here's an updated screenshot showing that it now seems to have reset after recovering the loss twice for some reason. Results have went well to showcase what I'm talking about

Hi there,

At Tools&Settings->Monitoring settings->Remove markets tab, turn off options to remove markets. Make sure that all markets that have bets stay at the main MARKETS grid view. If market is removed then bot might lose bets for that market and attempt to recover loss again.

Also add "Market conditions->Unsettled markets" rule, set it to 1, so that next bet is placed only when previous bet is settled.

At "Tools&Settings->General settings" form you can turn on/off options for commission. If you set it to deduct commission from market profit then you should also tick option to increase bet size to cover commission.

Your bet sizes are very small and it appears that you might be having some issues due to commission and rounding of numbers to two decimal places.

If you keep having problems then please use Contact form to contact us and send us log file with exported strategy and screenshots of your monitoring settings and general settings, all tabs.
